In memory of Cathy 

Cathy’s story is one of love, strength and an incredible fight.

Diagnosed with glioblastoma in 2022, Cathy was given devastating news about the future she had ahead of her. In early 2024, she was told she may only have weeks left.

But Cathy wasn’t finished.

She kept fighting, kept living and, most importantly, kept being the amazing mum she had always been to her daughter, Caelsi. As a single mum, Caelsi was her best friend, her whole world and the person at the centre of everything she did.

Cathy fought for every extra day she was given. She made memories, shared laughter and continued to put Caelsi first, even through the hardest moments of her illness.

She was private about many things, but those who knew her knew her wicked sense of humour, her wit, her strength and the love she had for the people who mattered most.

After an incredible fight, Cathy sadly passed away in August 2025.

But her story didn’t end there.

It lives on in Caelsi, in the memories she created, in the people who loved her and in everyone who continues to tell her story.

Cathy’s life was so much more than the illness that took it.

She was a mum.

She was a daughter.

She was a sister

She was loved.

She was strong.

And she will never be forgotten.
