Louise Knotman
59 Years Old
Louise Rhodes Knotman
17th April 1965 – 23rd February 2025
Louise was diagnosed with a brain tumour in September 2024 after a few months of balance issues and falls. She underwent four weeks of radiotherapy, but sadly, due to her condition worsening, she was unable to have chemotherapy. By December 2024, she was bedbound. Despite it being a short battle, it felt long and deeply painful for all who loved her.
Louise was truly one of a kind — selfless, kind, and always thinking of others. She was the best Mum we could have ever wished for — to me, and to my brothers Jake and Joel. Her smile was infectious, and her presence lit up every room. She loved life and faced every day with positivity and grace.
She worked for Manchester City Council for over 30 years, supporting children and families across Moss Side, Hulme, and Wythenshawe. Her job meant everything to her — no two days were ever the same, and she loved helping people.
Louise was married to my dad, Simon Knotman, for over 25 years. We sadly lost him to bowel cancer in December 2019.
Mum truly had a heart of gold — one that will never be replaced. If I could choose my Mum again in another lifetime, I’d choose her every single time.
We all miss her so much.
