They came, they rocked, they raised… £4701 to be precise.
The inaugural, (and brainchild of The Northcourt’s Mark Cunningham), Prog for Peart Festival took place over the weekend of 13th and 14th August. 16 bands took the the stage over 2 days in memory of Rush drummer Neil Peart who died from a GBM in early 2020.
The Festival had a few false starts due to the pandemic but undeterred Mark was determined to make sure the event would go ahead. We’re absolutely thrilled with the amount raised and it will go towards pre-trial experiments and analysis to be conducted by ‘The Wizards’ at Nottingham Trent University. These experiments will be key in showing why our vaccine work has been successful, and may also show that the cancer cells have been opened such that exposure to additional agents will prove successful in killing them.
